Hola, my name is Raymundo, and I am a Latino singer-songwriter from South El Monte, CA in Los Angeles County. Authenticity and loyalty mean everything to me. Not only do I love experiencing people’s stories through their craft, but I also care about the world they live in. Of course I’ve had several ups and downs in my journey as an independent artist, but with these experiences in hand and my fiancé’s hand in the other, I have a clear vision of what I would like the future of my career to look like. I’m proud to represent exactly where I’m from every time we get a big moment in the press. When I was on the first season of La Voz US, I made sure my small hometown, South El Monte, CA, population of 20k+, was captioned every time I was mentioned. I think it’s so important for us to share our victories together, especially for those constantly brought down by social constructs. It’s important for me to empower and inspire others to believe in themselves and break the mold the way I have several times in my career.
